The Centre for Alternative Technology is delighted to welcome Jean Boulton during a postgraduate teaching week for the ‘Theories of Social and System Change’ module. In this lecture and Q&A, Jean will reflect on the notion that our communities are impacted by global shifts and catastrophes as well as what we do regionally and locally. She asks, “How do we work to create local resilience whilst taking into account these wider factors? “How do we decide how to act in the face of increasing fragility and polarisation – and how does the science of complexity help us in our considerations?” ---Key information--- Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes Date: Wednesday 7 January Start and finish times: 7pm-8:30pm Location: Sheppard Theatre, WISE building Free entry but limited spaces so please sign up in advance Book an evening meal in CAT’s café and join our students to discuss and debate before the lecture begins. - This can be prebooked for £10 alongside your public lecture booking below. - Will be served at 6:00pm before the lecture begins.
